Jaina DeMeter (she/her)

President 

I am a senior majoring in Music+Cultural History and English Writing. I serve as an RA in Lothrop Hall and am the Business Manager of Girl Up at Pitt. Outside of TCE, I love to travel, watch hockey, listen to music, and craft!

What TCE means to me?

“TCE is where I feel the most enriched. It is such a pleasure to get to meet and sing with 45 other amazing people I would never have met otherwise! I have learned something from everyone who has crossed my path, which has been a huge blessing!”

Zoe Coleman (she/her)

Vice President 

I am a senior majoring in Rehabilitation Science and pursuing a certificate in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. I am a true crime enthusiast, crafter, proud Alto 2, and the VP of the Imagination Project at Pitt!

What TCE means to me?

Shanthi Mayadam (she/her)

Business Manager

I am a Senior on the pre-med track, majoring in Microbiology and Psychology, minoring in Chemistry, and pursuing a certificate in Children's Literature.

At Pitt, I currently work both in Undergraduate Recruitment as a Lead Dietrich Ambassador and in Campus Recreation as an Operations Attendant. I love being able to work with prospective and current students, and make them as comfortable as possible here. I also conduct research with Dr. Jennifer Steel in Biopsychology, which bridges both of my majors together. Outside of Pitt, my hobbies include working out, cooking/baking, and watching horror movies. 

What TCE means to me?

“TCE means so much to me! I love having a strong network of friends that I can always count on to cheer me up after a long day of STEM classes. Singing is my refuge, and doing it with people who are equally passionate about it as me is everything. My favorite TCE memory has to be traveling to Nashville this summer and visiting Broadway.”

Kay Schaefer (all pronouns)

Secretary

I am a Senior majoring in LCJS (Law, Criminal Justice, and Society), minoring in Sociology and Social Work, and pursuing a Disabilities studies certificate. I love writing, drawing, and watching anime, and my favorite music artist of all time is Mitski!

What TCE means to me?

“I love the sense of community and the satisfaction of working hard together for a common goal and to be singing and performing beautifully by the end!”



Angela Baker (she/her)

Alumni Outreach Coordinator 

I am a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in LCJS (Law, Criminal Justice, and Society). In addition to TCE, I am a member of Students Conquering Cold Cases (SCCC) which works with local law enforcement to bring justice to cold case victims. In my free time, I love reading, crocheting, and taking care of my aquarium.

I am a Senior majoring in Social Work and pursuing a minor in Music. In my free time I crochet and at Pitt I am in club cheer!

Fundraising Chair

I am a junior majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience. I am in a sorority called Theta Phi alpha sorority, I work at Shadyside Hospital and am an assistant researcher at a Psychology lab here at Pitt!

What TCE means to me?

“I love the feeling of hearing harmonies that we worked so hard to perfect. Coming to rehearsal with all my fellow singers makes my day.”

Sofie Gill (she/her)

I am a sophomore majoring in Politics and Philosophy, minoring in French, and pursuing a Global Studies Certificate. In my free time I like singing, yoga, rock climbing, and hiking. At Pitt, I am a member of Sigma Delta Tau National Sorority and Chabad at Pitt.

What TCE means to me?

“TCE means doing what I love in a group of supporting peers who love singing just as much. Our passion for singing combined helps us create such a cohesive group that I have enjoyed since my first rehearsal! I love the opportunity to sing in college, especially as a person whose hobby is music and I was worried I would lose my passion for music when coming to college from high school. ”

Social Events Director

I am a senior majoring in Communications and Rhetoric. I do the radio station at Pitt and I'm very involved in the local music scene!

What TCE means to me?

“TCE is where I met several of my closest friends. There are so many different kinds of people all in one place and it's so wonderful to interact with so many people from so many different backgrounds and interests. The TCE tour to Nashville has to be my favorite memory!”

Tech Liaison

I am a sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering.

Outside of choir, I love doing puzzles, crocheting, and listening to podcasts. I am part of the Pitt Squash Club and ASA (Asian Student Society).

What TCE means to me?

“I have loved being in TCE not only as a way to keep music in my life while at school, but it is an outlet for the stressful days. It’s a wonderful community of people who find as much joy in singing as I do.”

New Member Mentee

I am a Freshman majoring Communication Sciences and Disorders. love to read, make crafts, and listen to music in my free time! This fall I’m coaching speech and debate, I’m part of the NSSHLA club, and I’m volunteering with a Girl Scout troop!

What TCE means to me?

“I wanted to join because I love choral music, and TCE seemed like a tight knit group of talented people who loved to sing!“
